| Detailed Description | The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in North Carolina. Trent River At West of Trenton affecting Jones County. For the Trent River. including West of Trenton. Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT. Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Trent River at West of Trenton. * WHEN. Until Thursday afternoon. * IMPACTS. At 17.0 feet, Water overflows the Free Bridge on Chinquapin Chapel Road along with several homes on Plantation Road. Water inundates low spots near the bridge on HWY 58 and Chinquapin Chapel Road. Middle Road is flooded north of Thigpen Lane, and some homes on Thigpen Lane are cut off. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 8:45 AM EDT Monday the stage was 15.5 feet. - Recent Activity. The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:45 AM EDT Monday was 16.3 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to fall below flood stage late Thursday morning and continue falling to 12.6 feet Saturday morning. - Flood stage is 14.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood |
