| Detailed Description | 6:13 AM PDT Saturday 1 June 2024 Special Weather Statement in effect for: Metro Vancouver - North Shore including West Vancouver and North Vancouver Metro Vancouver - northeast including Coquitlam and Maple Ridge Heavy rain is expected. Where: Metro Vancouver - North Shore, Metro Vancouver - northeast, northern sections of Fraser Valley - west and Howe Sound. When: Sunday and Sunday night. Rainfall amounts: Possibly reaching 60 mm. Remarks: A moisture laden Pacific frontal system will reach the South Coast Sunday morning bringing heavy rain to the aforementioned regions. The rain will begin Sunday morning and will intensify late Sunday afternoon. The rain will ease on Monday. Heavy downpours could cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas could be possible. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
