Brief Description Special Weather Statement
Detailed Description Strong south-southwest wind gusts will persist across Cook Inlet and the Anchorage Bowl through Tuesday as a storm system moves through the region. Expect sustained winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts 45 to 55 mph at times. The strongest wind gusts are expected from Homer north along the western Kenai Peninsula coast and across West Anchorage. The gusty winds are expected to diminish by Tuesday evening. Strong winds may move loose debris, damage property, and cause power outages.
