| Detailed Description | * WHAT. For the Heat Advisory, heat index values up to 112. For the Excessive Heat Warning, dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 115 expected. * WHERE. Portions of south central and southeast Texas. * WHEN. For the Heat Advisory, until 10 AM CDT this morning. For the Excessive Heat Warning, from 10 AM this morning to 10 PM CDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS. Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. While nighttime temperatures will fall below criteria for the Excessive Heat Warning and the Heat Advisory, there will not be much time for recovery from the significant daytime heating; therefore, the Excessive Heat Warning and the Heat Advisory will continue through the nighttime hours Tuesday. |
