Park Widespread snowfall accumulations of 10 to 20 cm are expected by Thursday evening. This long duration snowfall event could produce total snowfall amounts as high as 30 to 50 cm along the foothills. Snow will intensify today over the central foothills. Heavy snow will spread southward to the International border this evening. The snow will be heavy and wet, and will be mixed with rain in some areas, so total snowfall accumulations will vary widely. Snow will taper off to flurries Thursday evening then finally end early Friday morning. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Take frequent breaks and avoid strain when clearing snow. Park Piikani Reserve Significant snowfall is expected, starting Wednesday night. Periods of snow tonight will end Wednesday morning. Heavy snow is expected to begin Wednesday afternoon along the foothills and then spread to the east through Wednesday night. Total amounts of 10 to 25 cm are possible by Thursday evening. The highest amounts will fall in the foothills regions. The snow will be heavy and wet, and will be mixed with rain in some areas, so total snowfall accumulations will vary widely.
