| Detailed Description | 3:12 PM ADT Friday 5 July 2024 Severe Thunderstorm Warning in effect for: Woodstock and Carleton County At 3:12 PM ADT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing strong wind gusts, up to nickel size hail and heavy rain. A line of severe thunderstorms has developed from Rogersville to East Newbridge. This line of storms is moving east-southeast at near 40 km/h. Radar indicates 2 cm hail is possible and near 100 km/h wind gusts. Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Intense lightning is likely with any thunderstorm that develops. Remember, severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes. Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.
