Brief Description Flood Watch
Detailed Description * WHAT. Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE. A portion of central New Mexico, including the following area, South Central Mountains. * WHEN. From 3 PM MDT this afternoon through late tonight. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Low-water crossings may be flooded. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - Heavy rain producing thunderstorms will develop by mid afternoon over the Sacramento Mountains with another round of thunderstorms likely this evening. Thunderstorms will be capable of rain rates over 2 inches per hour as they shift southward. Recent burn scars, including the Blue 2, McBride, South Fork and Salt burn scars, will be especially susceptible to rapid runoff and flash flooding. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
