| Detailed Description | The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Massachusetts. Connecticut River At Northampton affecting Hampshire and Hampden Counties. . The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Massachusetts. New Hampshire. Connecticut. Merrimack River At Lowell affecting Middlesex and Essex Counties. Nashua River At East Pepperell affecting Middlesex, Worcester and Hillsborough Counties. Connecticut River At Middle Haddam affecting Middlesex County. Connecticut River At Hartford affecting Middlesex and Hartford Counties. Connecticut River At Thompsonville affecting Hampden and Hartford Counties. For the Connecticut River. including Montague, Northampton, Holyoke Dam, Holyoke, Springfield, Thompsonville, Hartford, Middle Haddam. Minor flooding is forecast. For the Merrimack River. including Lowell, Lawrence, Groveland. Minor flooding is forecast. For the Nashua River. including East Pepperell. Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT. Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Connecticut River at Middle Haddam. * WHEN. Until further notice. * IMPACTS. At 9.5 feet, Flooding closes most of Meadow Road, Route 17A, in the Gildersleeve section of Portland. Flooding impacts the Middletown Marina and Meadow Farms. In Cromwell, portions of River Road will be closed. In Rocky Hill, parts of Meadow Road will be impassable for a time. Flooding continues along the river southward through Essex. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 8:55 PM EDT Saturday the stage was 6.6 feet. - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet. - Forecast. The river will rise above flood stage just after midnight tonight to 7.1 feet late tonight. It will then fall to flood stage late tomorrow morning. It will rise to 8.6 feet Monday evening. It will then fall late Monday evening. It will rise to 8.8 feet early Tuesday morning.
