| Detailed Description | The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Indiana. White River at Petersburg, Edwardsport, and Hazleton. .Rainfall amounts of 3 to 7 inches of rain fell across the area over the past few days. This will produce minor flooding along the White River near Edwardsport and points downstream in the coming days. River flooding should begin tonight and end by this weekend. * WHAT. Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. White River at Hazleton. * WHEN. From Wednesday evening to early Saturday morning. * IMPACTS. At 17.5 feet, Flood water is near or starting on Pottsville Road. Low bottomlands are increasingly affected by flood waters. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - There is no current observed data. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow evening to a crest of 17.7 feet early Thursday afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early Friday afternoon. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood |
