10:11 AM ADT Thursday 18 July 2024 Rainfall Warning in effect for: Cumberland County North and Cobequid Pass Rain, at times heavy, is expected. Total rainfall: 40 to 80 mm, with locally higher amounts possible. Rainfall rates: 25 to 35 mm/hr. Time span: this morning until early afternoon. Remarks: A series of thundershowers gave 40 millimetres of rain in a few hours to the region and more rain and thundershowers are expected this morning as additional thundershowers are moving up the Bay of Fundy towards the Minas Basin. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.
