Heavy snow and strong winds will move into the area Thursday evening bringing poor visibility. Winds will gust up to 70 km/h from the southeast. Total snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm are expected. Poor visibility in snow and blowing snow will continue until Friday morning. Avoid travel if possible. Public Safety Canada encourages everyone to make an emergency plan and get an emergency kit with drinking water, food, medicine, a first-aid kit and a flashlight.
