RAINFALL WARNING
Detailed Description
3:32 PM MDT Thursday 25 July 2024 Rainfall Warning in effect for: Woodlands Co. near Whitecourt and Blue Ridge Heavy rain will continue tonight and Friday with total rainfall amounts of 70 to 90 mm expected by Saturday. The heaviest rainfall amounts will be in areas where embedded thunderstorms occur. Heavy rain will taper off by Saturday morning. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts. Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.
