Brief Description Flood Watch
Detailed Description * WHAT. Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE. Portions of northwestern Connecticut, including the following areas, Northern Litchfield and Southern Litchfield, western Massachusetts, including the following area, Southern Berkshire, and eastern New York, including the following areas, Eastern Dutchess, Eastern Ulster and Western Dutchess. * WHEN. From 8 PM EDT this evening through Saturday afternoon. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - Clusters of showers and thunderstorms will pass across the region, mainly for tonight into Saturday morning. With a moist airmass in place, any shower or thunderstorm will be capable of producing locally heavy downpours which could lead to localized flooding of urban and poor drainage areas. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
