Where: Dease Lake, Muncho Lake, Tetsa River, Jade City and portions of the Cassiar mountains, Hwy 97 south of Watson Lake. When: Now through this evening What: Rain and localized thunderstorm downpours giving rainfall amounts 50 to 80 mm, locally up to 100 mm. Remarks: A slowly moving trough rotating through these northern B.C. regions will bring heavy rains and embedded thunderstorms. Rain will ease this evening. Heavier rain may persist south of Watson Lake and near Jade City through tonight. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Landslides may occur in vulnerable areas such as steep slopes. Don''t approach washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts. Campers should move away from low-lying areas.
