| Detailed Description | FFWFGZ The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for. Apache County in northeastern Arizona from Nutrioso to St. Johns. * Until 1145 PM MST. * At 544 PM MST, trained weather spotters reported 2 inches of rain have fallen in the past 45 minutes near Escudilla Mountain. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly along Nutrioso Creek, Coyote Creek and tributaries of the Little Colorado River. HAZARD. Life-threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE. Trained spotters reported. IMPACT. Life-threatening flash flooding of low-water crossings, creeks, normally dry washes and roads. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include. Springerville, Eagar, St. Johns, Lyman Lake State Park, Springerville Airport, Mesa Parada, Saint Johns Industrial Air Park, Feaster, Cerro Montoso Peak, Nutrioso Reservoir, Nutrioso, Gobbler Peak, Becker Lake, Lyman Lake, Nelson Reservoir, Nelson Reservoir Recreation Area, St. Johns City Park and Escudilla Wilderness. This includes the following recreation areas and campgrounds. Lyman Lake Campground and Elderberry Spring Campground. This includes the following highways. State Route 261 near mile marker 405. and between mile markers 407 and 412. State Route 260 between mile markers 390 and 398. Highway 60 between mile markers 368 and 401. Highway 191 161 between mile markers 316 and 320. State Route 61 between mile markers 379 and 381. Highway 180 191 between mile markers 371 and 419. Highway 180 between mile markers 356 and 368. This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers. Nutrioso Creek, Carrizo Wash, Riggs Creek, Jarvis Wash, Woods Creek, Rudd Creek, Benton Creek, Watts Creek, Little Colorado River, Hulsey Creek, Wildcat Creek, Mamie Creek, Lower Lyman Ditch, Paddy Creek, Davis Creek, Big Ditch, Coyote Creek, Auger Creek, Milk Creek, Colter Creek, South Fork Little Colorado River, Carnero Creek, Grapevine Creek, Vigil Run, Milligan Creek, Big Hollow Wash, Romero Creek and Picnic Creek. |
