Brief Description High Wind Warning
Detailed Description * WHAT. Southeast winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected. * WHERE. Prince of Wales Island, especially western Prince of Wales Island. * WHEN. From 7 PM Friday to 7 AM AKDT Saturday. * IMPACTS. High winds will blow around unsecured objects and may damage property and cause power outages. Travel will be difficult. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. Strongest wind gusts will be along the west, especially southwest, portion of Prince of Wales Island. The east side of the island can still expect strong wind gusts, but wind gust speeds are more likely to be around 40 to 50 mph.
