Brief Description Flood Advisory
Detailed Description Snowmelt is causing additional rises on the Skwentna and Yentna Rivers. Minor flooding is expected through the week. * WHAT. Flooding caused by snowmelt continues. * WHERE. Skwentna and Yentna Rivers, and surrounding low-lying areas * WHEN. Until noon AKDT Friday. * IMPACTS. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas, including public boat landings and low-lying airstrips. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - High water, lowland flooding and inundation of low structures will continue in this area. - For Skwentna River at Skwentna: Forecast: Bankfull conditions around 41 feet are expected through the week. -For Yentna River near Yentna Station: Forecast: A crest around 21 feet is expected through mid- week. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood - If you live near or along the Skwentna and Yentna Rivers stay alert and be prepared to move property to higher ground.
