Brief Description HEAT WARNING
Detailed Description 8:07 PM ADT Sunday 4 August 2024 Heat Warning in effect for: Oromocto and Sunbury County Very warm and humid conditions continue. Time span: ending Monday night. Minimum overnight temperatures tonight: 20 degrees Celsius. Maximum daytime temperatures on Monday: 28 to 30 degrees Celsius (Humidex 37 to 39), except cooler along parts of the coast. Locations: southern half of New Brunswick. Remarks: A combination of very warm temperatures and elevated humidity will continue to give high humidex values again tomorrow. Check several times a day on older family, friends and neighbours. Make sure they are cool and drinking water. Never leave people, particularly children, or pets inside a parked vehicle. Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
