Brief Description Flood Warning
Detailed Description The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Texas. Louisiana. Sabine River At Logansport affecting Panola, De Soto and Shelby Counties. Sabine River At Longview affecting Rusk and Gregg Counties. . The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texas. Sabine River Near Beckville affecting Panola, Rusk, Harrison and Gregg Counties. Sabine River Near Mineola affecting Smith and Wood Counties. For the Sabine River. including Mineola, Hawkins, Gladewater, Longview, Beckville, Logansport. Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT. Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Sabine River at Longview. * WHEN. From Tuesday afternoon until further notice. * IMPACTS. At 28.0 feet, Lowland flooding will continue for several days. Oil field operations will be curtailed and timber resources will suffer severe flooding. Fisherman should use caution as currents are swift. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 8:30 PM CDT Monday the stage was 24.2 feet. - Bankfull stage is 25.0 feet. - Forecast. The river will fall to 24.0 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then rise above flood stage early tomorrow afternoon to 26.8 feet early Wednesday afternoon. It will fall to 26.6 feet early Thursday afternoon then rise again. - Flood stage is 25.0 feet. - Flood History.
