| Detailed Description | 9:59 PM MDT Thursday 4 July 2024 Severe Thunderstorm Warning in effect for: City of Calgary At 9:59 PM MDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing strong wind gusts, up to toonie size hail and heavy rain. This severe thunderstorm is located over northern Calgary and is moving to the southeast at 20 km/h. Remember, severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes. Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!
