Brief Description Special Weather Statement
Detailed Description Confidence is increasing in a strong wind event for early next week. Model guidance continues to trend upwards in the potential for an impactful wind event with the next low pressure moving into the gulf for Monday into Tuesday. The biggest challenge is how close does the low get to the outer coast. If the low is farther north and east, some of the strongest winds will be along the outer coast with gusts potentially reaching 50 to 60 mph with this solution. If the low remains farther to the south and west before weakening and moving inland, the strongest winds will remain offshore but places could still wind gusts above 40 mph along the outer coast.
