Big Sioux River below Dell Rapids affecting Minnehaha County. Big Sioux River at Sioux Falls I-90 affecting Minnehaha County. Big Sioux River near Brookings affecting Moody and Brookings Counties. Big Sioux River at Akron affecting Union and Plymouth Counties. Big Sioux River above Hawarden affecting Union, Lincoln and Sioux Counties. Little Sioux River near Correctionville affecting Ida, Cherokee and Woodbury Counties. Little Sioux River At Linn Grove affecting Clay, Cherokee, Buena Vista and O'Brien Counties. Ocheyedan River near Spencer affecting Clay County. James River near Scotland affecting Bon Homme, Yankton and Hutchinson Counties. James River near Mitchell affecting Davison and Hanson Counties. West Fork Des Moines River near Avoca affecting Cottonwood and Murray Counties. * WHAT. Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Ocheyedan River near Spencer. * WHEN. Until early Thursday afternoon. * IMPACTS. At 8.0 feet, Minor flooding of pasture and agricultural land begins. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 9:45 AM CDT Monday the stage was 8.2 feet. - Recent Activity. The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:45 AM CDT Monday was 8.5 feet. - Forecast. The river will fall below flood stage this evening briefly before perhaps rising to flood stage early Wednesday afternoon. This forecast is highly dependent on how much rain falls over the next 24 hours with additional river rises possible if heavier rain falls than currently expected. - Flood stage is 8.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood |
