Maximum daytime temperatures: near 29 degrees Celsius, except cooler along parts of the coast. Minimum temperature tonight: 19 degrees Celsius. Locations: St. John''s and vicinity and Avalon Peninsula North. Remarks: The very warm air mass over the region will persist through Tuesday. The warmest conditions will occur inland away from the coast. Temperatures are forecast to stay below heat warning criteria on Wednesday. Extreme heat can affect everyone?s health. Drink plenty of water regularly, even before you feel thirsty to decrease your risk of dehydration. Thirst is not a good indicator of dehydration. Never leave people, particularly children, or pets inside a parked vehicle. Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
