| Detailed Description |
* WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall from training rain showers and thunderstorms. * WHERE. A portion of South Central Kansas, including the following counties, Harvey, Kingman, Reno and Sedgwick. * WHEN. Until 330 PM CDT Saturday. * IMPACTS. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 629 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to training rain showers and thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. Newton, Hesston, Kingman, Halstead, North Newton, Sedgwick, Haven, Burrton, Mount Hope, Pretty Prairie, Andale, Bentley, Cunningham, Yoder, Waterloo, Willowdale, Cleveland, Penalosa, Cheney Lake and Mt Vernon. |
