| Detailed Description |
* WHAT. Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE. Portions of New Jersey, including the following areas, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Morris, Somerset and Warren and Pennsylvania, including the following areas, Berks, Delaware, Eastern Chester, Eastern Montgomery, Lehigh, Lower Bucks, Northampton, Philadelphia, Upper Bucks, Western Chester and Western Montgomery. * WHEN. From this afternoon through late tonight. * IMPACTS. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - Showers and thunderstorms with heavy rain are likely in the watch area. Localized rainfall totals may reach 3 to 5 inches in just an hour or two, which would result in flash flooding. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood |
