Brief Description Rainfall Warning
Detailed Description Heavy rain continues. Locations: the south coast of Newfoundland. Additional rainfall: Channel-Port aux Basques to Burgeo - Ramea: 10 to 15 mm. Connaigre to the southern Avalon Peninsula: 25 to 40 mm, with up to 60 mm in areas of heaviest rain. Time span: until Monday afternoon. Similar storms in the past have caused: - the overflowing of creeks and rivers - road shoulder erosion and washouts ### Heavy downpours are likely to cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
