Brief Description Flood Warning
Detailed Description The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in North Carolina. Neuse River Near Goldsboro affecting Wayne County. Neuse River At Smithfield affecting Johnston County. * WHAT. Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Neuse River near Goldsboro. * WHEN. Until tomorrow morning. * IMPACTS. At 18.0 feet, Minor flooding begins. Water overflows the banks at the Arrington Bridge Rd and upstream of the US-117 bridge. Ferry Bridge Rd begins to flood. At 20.0 feet, Moderate flooding begins. Arrington Bridge Road and access roads around Seymour Johnson Air Force Base flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 8:15 AM EDT Friday the stage was 18.5 feet. - Recent Activity. The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:15 AM EDT Friday was 18.8 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to fall below flood stage this evening and continue falling to 15.4 feet Wednesday morning. - Flood stage is 18.0 feet. - Flood History. This crest compares to a previous crest of 20.1 feet on 11/19/2018. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
