| Detailed Description | 3:54 PM EDT Tuesday 9 July 2024 Severe Thunderstorm Warning in effect for: Mont-Albert area At 3:53 PM EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a dangerous thunderstorm capable of producing damaging wind gusts, up to nickel size hail and heavy rain. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Very strong wind gusts can damage buildings, down trees and blow large vehicles off the road. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors! Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.
