THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 497 IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM EDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN VIRGINIA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 1 COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA BUCHANAN IN WEST VIRGINIA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 14 COUNTIES IN CENTRAL WEST VIRGINIA BRAXTON CLAY NICHOLAS TAYLOR WEBSTER IN NORTHERN WEST VIRGINIA BARBOUR LEWIS POCAHONTAS RANDOLPH UPSHUR IN SOUTHERN WEST VIRGINIA FAYETTE MCDOWELL RALEIGH WYOMING THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF BECKLEY, BELINGTON, BUCKHANNON, BURNSVILLE, CLAY, COWEN, CRAIGSVILLE, DAVENPORT, ELKINS, FAYETTEVILLE, GARY, GASSAWAY, GRAFTON, GRUNDY, HOLLY RIVER STATE PARK, HURLEY, MARLINTON, MULLENS, OAK HILL, OCEANA, PHILIPPI, PINEVILLE, RICHWOOD, SUMMERSVILLE, SUTTON, VANSANT, WAR, WEBSTER SPRINGS, WELCH, AND WESTON. |
