| Detailed Description | 9:44 PM ADT Friday 2 August 2024 Heat Warning in effect for: Prince County P.E.I. Humidex values reaching 36 are expected for the next 3 days. A period of very warm and humid weather is expected. Time span: Continuing through Sunday Maximum daytime temperatures: 28 to 29 degrees Celsius (Humidex 36 or 37) Minimum overnight temperatures: near 20 degrees Celsius. Locations: Prince Edward Island. Remarks: Cooler conditions can be expected along parts of the coast. Conditions will gradually ease on Monday. Check several times a day on older family, friends and neighbours. Make sure they are cool and drinking water. Never leave people, particularly children, or pets inside a parked vehicle. Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
