Brief Description Winter Storm Watch
Detailed Description Blizzard conditions return on Monday What: Blizzard conditions with near-zero visibility. When: Noon Monday to Noon Tuesday. Where: Dempster Highway near the Richardson Mountains. Additional information: Another frontal system moving into the Yukon on Monday will clashing with a ridge of high pressure over the Northwest Territories generating extreme easterly winds of 90 km/h gusting to 110 across the Richardson Mountains. Combined with falling or freshly fallen snow, near-zero visibility in snow and blowing snow resulting in blizzard conditions will develop near noon on Monday. Winds will peak Monday night with blizzard conditions easing near noon on Tuesday as the pair of frontal system and ridge weaken on Tuesday. ### Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations.
