| Detailed Description | The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Minnesota River at Henderson MN19 affecting Sibley, Le Sueur and Scott Counties. Mississippi River at Red Wing L/D 3 affecting Pierce and Goodhue Counties. St Croix River at Stillwater affecting Pierce, St. Croix and Washington Counties. . The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Minnesota and Wisconsin. South Fork Crow River below Mayer affecting Carver County. Mississippi River near Hastings L/D 2 (COE) affecting Dakota, Pierce and Washington Counties. Cannon River at Northfield affecting Dakota and Rice Counties. Minnesota River at Savage affecting Dakota, Carver, Scott and Hennepin Counties. Minnesota River near Jordan affecting Sibley, Carver and Scott Counties. Minnesota River at Morton affecting Redwood and Renville Counties. Mississippi River at Red Wing affecting Pepin, Pierce and Goodhue Counties. Mississippi River at St. Paul affecting Dakota, Ramsey and Washington Counties. Redwood River near Redwood Falls affecting Redwood County. . The Flood Warning is cancelled for the following rivers in Minnesota. Crow River at Rockford affecting Wright and Hennepin Counties. .River levels continue their steady decline with more rain incoming later this week, arriving Thursday and lasting into Friday. While this second round of rainfall for the week will cause some leveling or even rises in water levels, we are not expecting to crest close to what we previously have. The main concerns will be quick-responding rivers especially the Minnesota and basins in southern Minnesota where the greatest amounts are currently expected to be. * WHAT. Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Minnesota River near Jordan. * WHEN. Until further notice. * IMPACTS. At 29.5 feet, Highway 41 at Chaska may close when the river reaches this stage. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 845 PM CDT Tuesday, the stage was 30.5 feet. - Recent Activity. The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 845 PM CDT Tuesday was 30.9 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to fall to 25.7 feet Tuesday, July 09. - Flood stage is 25.0 feet. - Flood History. This crest compares to a previous crest of 29.4 feet on 05/19/2023. |
