| Detailed Description | The National Weather Service in Duluth MN has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Minnesota. Vermilion River near Crane Lake affecting far northern St. Louis County. * WHAT. Minor flooding is occurring and forecast to continue. * WHERE. Vermilion River near Crane Lake. * WHEN. From late Wednesday night to Wednesday, July 10. * IMPACTS. At 12.0 feet, Flooding of Gold Mine Road and public river access begins. At 14.0 feet, Gold Mine Road flooding likely at public river access. Access to Gold Mine Camp affected. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 2:30 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 13.5 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise to a crest of 14.0 feet early Thursday morning. Minor flooding expected to continue into the weekend. - Flood stage is 14.0 feet. - Flood History. This crest compares to a previous crest of 14.0 feet on 04/26/2008. - Flood safety information can be found at www.weather.gov/safety/flood. |
