| Detailed Description | An extended period of hot and dry weather will continue. Time span: continuing through Tuesday. Maximum daytime temperatures: 29 to 33 degrees Celsius, except cooler along parts of the coast. Minimum overnight temperatures: 16 to 20 degrees Celsius. Locations: interior from Churchill Falls and vicinity to Eagle River, and along the coast from Postville-Makkovik to Lodge Bay. Remarks: A hot and dry air mass will persist over the region for the next few days. Little relief is expected at night with elevated overnight temperatures. Current guidance indicates conditions will begin moderating after Tuesday. Some areas may also see a reprieve from the heat on Sunday as a weak trough of low pressure will bring a period of northerly winds and cooler temperatures. ### Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
