| Detailed Description | 5:39 AM EDT Saturday 31 August 2024 Rainfall Warning in effect for: Peterborough City - Lakefield - Southern Peterborough County Rain, at times heavy, is expected. Showers and thunderstorms continue to move across the area late tonight. Rainfall amounts in excess of 50 mm are expected by the time the precipitation comes to an end early this morning. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
