Little Sioux River at Cherokee affecting Cherokee County. . The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in South Dakota. Iowa. Minnesota. Big Sioux River at Sioux Falls I-90 affecting Minnehaha County. Big Sioux River above Hawarden affecting Union, Sioux and Lincoln Counties. West Fork Des Moines River at Jackson affecting Jackson County. James River near Mitchell affecting Hanson and Davison Counties. Big Sioux River near Richland affecting Plymouth and Union Counties. Spirit Lake near Orleans affecting Dickinson County. West Okoboji Lake near Milford affecting Dickinson County. Little Sioux River at Spencer affecting Clay County. Little Sioux River near Milford affecting Dickinson County. Little Sioux River above Spencer / Highway 18 affecting Clay County. West Fork Des Moines River near Windom affecting Jackson and Cottonwood Counties. West Fork Des Moines River near Avoca affecting Murray and Cottonwood Counties. * WHAT. Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. James River near Mitchell. * WHEN. Until Monday morning. * IMPACTS. At 19.0 feet, Sizable areas of agricultural land near the river are flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 8:45 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 18.1 feet. - Recent Activity. The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:45 AM CDT Thursday was 18.3 feet. - Forecast.
