Brief Description Rip Current Statement
Detailed Description * WHAT. For the High Rip Current Risk, dangerous rip currents. For the Coastal Flood Watch, up to one foot of inundation above ground level possible in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways. * WHERE. Martha's Vineyard. * WHEN. For the High Rip Current Risk, through Friday evening. For the Coastal Flood Watch, from Friday morning through Friday afternoon. * IMPACTS. Roads remain passable with pockets of shallow flooding less than one foot deep. This mainly affects low lying areas and roads near Edgartown Harbor, including the Chappy Ferry Dock. Shallow flooding may also approach Five Corners in Vineyard Haven. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water.
