| Detailed Description | The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Cottonwood River at New Ulm affecting Brown County. South Fork Crow River below Mayer affecting Carver County. Mississippi River near Hastings L/D 2 (COE) affecting Dakota, Washington and Pierce Counties. Mississippi River at St. Paul affecting Dakota, Washington and Ramsey Counties. . The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Minnesota. Cottonwood River Above Springfield affecting Brown County. South Fork Crow River at Delano affecting Wright and Hennepin Counties. Crow River at Rockford affecting Wright and Hennepin Counties. North Fork Zumbro River above Wanamingo CR30 affecting Goodhue County. Redwood River near Redwood Falls affecting Redwood County. Cannon River at Northfield affecting Dakota and Rice Counties. Minnesota River at Mankato affecting Nicollet and Blue Earth Counties. Minnesota River at New Ulm affecting Brown, Blue Earth and Nicollet Counties. Minnesota River at Savage affecting Carver, Dakota, Hennepin and Scott Counties. Minnesota River at Henderson MN19 affecting Le Sueur, Sibley and Scott Counties. Minnesota River near Jordan affecting Carver, Sibley and Scott Counties. Minnesota River at Morton affecting Redwood and Renville Counties. Middle Fork Zumbro River at Pine Island 1S affecting Dodge and Goodhue Counties. .Heavy, widespread rainfall over the last several days has already caused substantial rises in area rivers. Additional rainfall this afternoon through Sunday across much of southern Minnesota will support additional rises in area rivers. The axis of the heaviest rainfall over the past 72 hours fell across SW Minnesota and N Iowa. This has resulted in a slight lower trend with upcoming crests. Moderate to major flooding is still forecast for many mainstem forecast points. * WHAT. Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Minnesota River at New Ulm. * WHEN. Until further notice. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 945 AM CDT Saturday, the stage was 801.1 feet. - Recent Activity. The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 945 AM CDT Saturday was 801.1 feet. - Forecast. The river will rise to 801.4 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall early Tuesday afternoon. It will rise to 801.0 feet Thursday morning. It will then fall again but remain above flood stage. - Flood stage is 800.0 feet. - Flood History. This crest compares to a previous crest of 801.4 feet on 04/26/2018. |
