| Detailed Description | The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Florida. Suwannee River near Wilcox (US 19) affecting Dixie, Levy and Gilchrist Counties. * WHAT. Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Suwannee River near Wilcox (US 19). * WHEN. From this morning until further notice. * IMPACTS. At 12.0 feet, In Dixie county, River road south of SE 964th street floods isolating numerous homes. Flooding expands at Hinton Landing affecting several residences into the area. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 8:30 AM EDT Monday the stage was 10.0 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this morning and continue rising to a crest of 11.9 feet Saturday evening. - Flood stage is 10.0 feet. - Flood History. This crest compares to a previous crest of 11.9 feet on 04/23/1983. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood |
