| Detailed Description | 4:54 AM MST Sunday 30 June 2024 Special Weather Statement in effect for: Pelly - Carmacks A period of unseasonably high temperatures continues this weekend. When: Today. Where: Dawson, Mayo and Pelly - Carmacks regions. Remarks: A warm airmass remains over central Yukon this weekend. This brings daytime maximum temperatures of about 5 degrees Celsius above seasonal normals. There may be some brief relief in the afternoon in showers or thunderstorms. Temperatures are expected to start cooling on Canada Day, trending closer to normal. Never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle. Drink plenty of water even before you feel thirsty and seek cool places if necessary. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
