Maximum daytime temperatures: near 28 degrees Celsius (Humidex near 34). Minimum overnight temperatures: near 17 degrees Celsius. Locations: Churchill Falls and vicinity. Remarks: A cold front will cross the area Wednesday evening bringing showers and cooler temperatures. Extreme heat can affect everyone?s health. Drink plenty of water regularly, even before you feel thirsty to decrease your risk of dehydration. Thirst is not a good indicator of dehydration. Check several times a day on older family, friends and neighbours. Make sure they are cool and drinking water. Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
