5:33 AM CST Friday 12 July 2024 Severe Thunderstorm Warning in effect for: R.M. of North Qu''Appelle including Fort Qu''Appelle At 5:32 AM CST, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing very strong wind gusts, up to nickel size hail and heavy rain. This line of severe thunderstorms is located from west of Tuffnell over to north of Piapot. These storms are moving towards the east-southeast at roughly 50 km/h. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles. Intense lightning is likely with any thunderstorm that develops. Remember, severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes. Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches.
