Detailed Description |
* WHAT. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring. * WHERE. A portion of southeast South Carolina, including the following county, Dorchester. * WHEN. Until 945 AM EDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS. Flooding along the Ashley River, including water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 943 AM EDT, Dorchester County Emergency Management reported flooding in the advisory area. - Areas along the Ashley River continue to experience flooding. In the Ashborough neighborhood impacted areas include Mayfield Street, Lakeview Drive, and Hampton Drive. Ashley River Park also remains completely inundated. Further downstream, Colonial Dorchester State Historic Site remains flooded as well as Jessen Public Boat Landing and the surrounding area. The USGS river gage on the Ashley River at Cooke Crossroads indicates that water levels have likely peaked and a slow fall in water levels has started. However, water levels will remain high for much of the week. - Some locations that will experience flooding include. North Charleston, Summerville, Cooke Crossroads, Dorchester Estates, Oakbrook, Greggs Landing and Slandsville. |
