| Detailed Description | The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Iowa. Floyd River At Le Mars affecting Plymouth County. Floyd River at Alton affecting Sioux and Plymouth Counties. Little Sioux River near Correctionville affecting Cherokee, Ida and Woodbury Counties. Little Sioux River at Cherokee affecting Cherokee County. . The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Iowa. Ocheyedan River near Spencer affecting Clay County. Spirit Lake near Orleans affecting Dickinson County. West Okoboji Lake near Milford affecting Dickinson County. Ocheyedan River near Everly affecting O'Brien and Clay Counties. Waterman Creek near Sutherland affecting O'Brien County. Little Sioux River near Montgomery affecting Dickinson County. West Fork Little Sioux River near Lake Park affecting Dickinson County. Little Sioux River At Linn Grove affecting O'Brien, Buena Vista, Cherokee and Clay Counties. Little Sioux River at Spencer affecting Clay County. Little Sioux River near Milford affecting Dickinson County. Little Sioux River above Spencer / Highway 18 affecting Clay County. * WHAT. Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE. Floyd River at Alton. * WHEN. Until early Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS. At 15.0 feet, 410th Street and Larch Avenue is inundated. Also 440th Street and Kingbird Avenue is flooded, and the water reaches the bottom of the bridge at CR L14 and 440th Street. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS. - At 12:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 14.4 feet. - Recent Activity. The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 12:00 PM CDT Monday was 16.2 feet. - Forecast. The river is expected to fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight and continue falling to 8.3 feet Saturday morning. - Flood stage is 12.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood |
