| Detailed Description | 5:09 PM MDT Wednesday 10 July 2024 Rainfall Warning in effect for: Ft. Liard Region including Nahanni Butte - Sambaa K''e Heavy rainfall is expected tonight and Thursday, with total rainfall amounts of up to 70 mm possible by early Friday morning. Showers with a risk of thunderstorms will begin late this afternoon. Rain will intensify tonight and remain heavy at times through Thursday. General amounts of 30 to 50 mm are expected, with up to 70 mm possible in the vicinity and west of the Liard River. Rainfall will ease Thursday overnight into Friday morning. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts. Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.
