| Detailed Description |
At 122 AM CDT, Local law enforcement reported that a few roads in the Grantfork area were flooded. Otherwise, thunderstorms producing heavy rain have moved out of the warned area. Up to 3 inches of rain have fallen. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD. Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE. Law enforcement reported. IMPACT. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include. Edwardsville, Glen Carbon, Highland, Breese, Carlyle, Aviston, St. Rose, Germantown, Wamac, St. Jacob, Beckemeyer, Marine, Livingston, Pocahontas, Alhambra, Jamestown, Hamel, Pierron, Bartelso and Hoffman. This includes the following highways. Interstate 55 in Illinois between exits 23 and 37. Interstate 70 in Illinois between exits 21 and 36. |
