4:27 AM PDT Sunday 2 June 2024 Rainfall Warning in effect for: Metro Vancouver - North Shore including West Vancouver and North Vancouver Metro Vancouver - northeast including Coquitlam and Maple Ridge Rain, at times heavy, is expected. Where: Metro Vancouver - North Shore, Metro Vancouver - northeast, northern sections of Fraser Valley - west and Howe Sound. When: Today and tonight. Rainfall amounts: Up to 60 mm. Remarks: A moisture laden Pacific frontal system will reach the South Coast this morning bringing heavy rain to the aforementioned regions. The rain will begin early this morning and then intensify this afternoon. The rain will ease to showers early Monday. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.
