Brief Description Special Weather Statement
Detailed Description Snowfall and strong winds are expected to begin for the Pribilofs early Friday morning. Wind gusts up to 60 mph are expected to build late Friday morning. Strong winds in conjunction with falling snow could significantly reduce visibility. The best chance for visibility to drop to a half mile, due to falling snow and winds, will be Friday afternoon. However, given that the surface is largely uncovered from snow, getting snow to loft once grounded will be more difficult. Conditions will gradually improve from Friday evening as winds begin to slowly diminish and snowfall wanes.
