| Detailed Description | FFWSGF The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for. Christian County in southwestern Missouri. Western Douglas County in southwestern Missouri. * Until 1145 AM CDT Sunday. * At 456 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD. Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE. Radar. IMPACT. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include. Nixa, Ozark, Ava, Highlandville, Sparta, Fremont Hills, Spokane, Keltner, Elkhead, Bruner, Oldfield, Chadwick, Garrison, Goodhope, Dogwood, Rome, Linden, Christian Center, Selmore, Chestnutridge and Squires. This includes the following low water crossings. Swan Creek at Swan Cave Road, Cowskin Creek at Highway Y, Beaver Creek at County Road 524, Woods Fork at Woods Fork Road, Little Beaver Creek at County Road 447, Bull Creek at Center Road and Finley River at Johns Ford Road. |
