| Detailed Description | 8:38 PM EDT Friday 28 June 2024 Special Weather Statement in effect for: Manitouwadge - Hornepayne Significant rainfall tonight into Saturday. Hazard: Total rainfall amounts of 30 to 45 mm. Locally higher amounts are possible. Timing: Tonight into Saturday. Discussion: Rain, at times heavy, continues to move eastward from northwestern Ontario through northeastern Ontario. The rain will taper to showers from west to east on Saturday. For information concerning flooding, please consult your local Conservation Authority or Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry office. Visit Ontario.ca/floods for the latest details. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.
